Introduction to Snow Shoeing Guided Walk
Follow me for a snow shoeing induction: we will walk on small easy tracks but expect wild landscapes!
Snow shoes date back from times immemorial and were initially only a wooden frame and woven leather straps. They were probably invented by first nations in Central Asia who used them to walk across the North American continent. Later Native Americans, mostly hunters, worn them to walk with ease on thick snow. Once the first white pilgrims arrived, trappers adopted them to walk long distances.
