Itinerary
You'll pedal between 3 and 4 hours a day, taking advantage of the crystal-clear waters of the Drôme to canoe down it (for children aged 6 and over) and take a swim. If you'd like to make this trip more leisurely, plan one more stage, in 4 days & 3 nights.
Day 1: Die - Die | 35 km
Welcome to Die! We welcome you to our base camp and hand over your travel companions: the fully-equipped electric bikes and your App. Set course for Châtillon-en-Diois on winding roads that partly follow the course of the Drôme river. Stroll back in time through the charming medieval streets of Châtillon. Take an oenological break at the Domaine Bio de Maupas before taking to the vineyard paths.
Day 2: Die - Piegros-la-Clastre | 40 km
Pedal along the Drôme towards the perched village of Sainte-Croix. The road then winds through vineyards to Espenel, the starting point for your canoe trip down the Drôme. Paddle for 3 to 4 hours in an ultra-preserved natural environment, and enjoy a swim in crystal-clear water. Your bikes are waiting for you on arrival. Follow the VéloDrôme cycle path to Aouste-sur-Sye and Piegro-la-Clastre.
Day 3: Piegro-la-Clastre - Die | 60 km
Drive up the Gervanne valley to the medieval village of Beaufort-sur-Gervanne, and immerse yourself in the world of organic and fair-trade chocolate in a magical workshop! Climb to the Col de La Croix before descending into the Quint valley and climbing to the Col de Marignac, with its enchanting panorama of the Vercors cliffs. Return to Die via the villages of Chamaloc and Romeyer.
