There is not just one beautiful season to walk and hike in the Diois.
The snow-covered mountains are a veritable winter wonderland ; vibrant colours contrasting with the immaculate white of the snow, refreshing, crystal clear air and a sense of space and freedom.










With just a pair of snowshoes and warm winter clothing, snowshoeing is a marvelous way to enjoy the region.

The local authorities have produced a small guide to snowshoeing routed in the areas, “La Drome en raquettes” (Snowshoeing in the Drome), which is available free at the tourist office or click here to download it (1 Mo) (only in french!).


Some of the routes may be difficult to find, as route markings, especially in the "Réserve des Hauts-Plateaux" nature reserve (where they are allowed only on the ground), are likely to be covered by snow.
