The Diois is a great place for rock climbing. Whether you are an out-and-out beginner or a serious “rock rat”, there are rewarding, challenging, inspiring and fun days to be had here.

For beginners, beautiful rock faces at a nice safe angle – with comforting holds for hands and feet ("Sites école") – will provide a reassuring debut and a rewarding view at the top.

Experienced climbers will find challenges here no matter what their climbing level. There are interesting long multi-pitch routes ("Grandes voies"), such as the route up Glandasse from the near the Valcroissant Abbey or the aiguilles (needles) de Bénevise and technical challenges at the Pas de la Roche à Romeyer ou Pennes-le-Sec.
